An addition to our message earlier regarding meals for students. Meals provided to students are free of cost.

The Franklin School District is extending the meal service program to any and all Franklin students that would like to receive meals that would cover breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. So each student would receive breakfast and lunch for each school day. These meals may be provided on a Monday with each student receiving a weeks worth of meals or we may go to a more frequent delivery. This will be decided by the number of students we will be serving. If you want these meals for your children please call the high school office between 8:00 and 11:00 in the morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding through this very difficult time. Most sincerely, The Franklin Administrative Team

This is Curt Simonson, the superintendent of Franklin. The District has just been informed that one of the confirmed positive tests for the Coronavirus in Sangamon County was present during the Career Fair that our sophomores attended at Lincoln Land Community College on Wednesday, March 11th along with other area schools. This is not to alarm you, but to make you aware that our students could conceivably have been exposed. Please be watchful and monitor your child's health closely. The CDC’s current symptoms include, but are not limited to: Fever, cough, and shortness of breath. People may become ill 2-14 days after exposure.

All extracurricular activities will be suspended during this time. On Monday March 16th, students will report to school at 10 am. We will have a late start day.
